County Championship Round 2: On Monday night under the lights of Semple Stadium our senior hurlers reached the quarter finals of the Dan Breen cup following a pulsating 1-16 to 1-13 victory over Borrisoleigh.
Holding a slender 0-07 to 0-06 lead at half time, the second half proved to be a nip and tuck affair and with heroics in the defence we held firm for a deserved victory and a reversal of last years results.
On behalf of the club we offer our sympathy to Philip Maher and the Borrisoleigh club on the passing of his father Pat over the weekend.
County Quarter Final; The quarter final draw has us pitted against Mid champions and County title holders Thurles Sarsfields on Sunday next in Semple Stadium at 3.30pm.
They don’t come any bigger than our opponents, but all hurdles have to be overcome in the County title race. Training for all panel on this Friday night on appointed time.
Mid Senior Football Final: This fixture is set for Sunday October 10th at 3.30pm in Templetuohy v J K Brackens.
Sypmathy; We offer our sympathy to Mary Morris, Clonmacogue and the Collins family, Killhara on their recent bereavements.
Juvenile Club; Our thanks to all who supported our annual church gate collection last weekend.

Minor Football: For the second year in a row our minor footballers have suffered defeat at County final stage, when on Saturday last in Holycross they were defeated 2-10 to 2-05 by a very strong Clonmel Commercials side.
Playing with a stiff breeze in the first half we held a 1-04 to 0-02 interval lead and certainly we could have made much better use of the ball during this period. Facing the breeze in the second half it was always going to be a huge task and this proved to be as the south Tipperary lads gained control to take the title.
Our congratulations to Clonmel in their victory and we thank the management team for their tireless effort they put in with the lads in both codes during the year.
O’ Riain Cup: Having defeated Cashel 5-21 to 0-20 on Tuesday night our senior hurlers faced Roscrea in the semi final on Sunday evening last in Toomevara. This was a tricky outing as victory carried Dan Breen re-entry for the finalists. The game itself was a hard fought encounter and we trailed 1-07 to 1-06 at the break. Midway in the second half we fell five points behind but an extra gear was found by the lads to run our 3-13 to 2-13 winners and face Nenagh Og in the final.
On Monday night next at 8.00pm in Semple Stadium we play round two of the County senior hurling championship v winners of Borrisoleigh/Knockavilla Kickhams. This game will certainly require a big improvement in our play play if victory and a quarter final entry is to be achieved. All panel to be on time.
Club Meeting: A meeting of the club will be held tonight Wednesday at 8.15pm in club rooms. All to attend.
Best Wishes; Our best wishes to Micheal Webster and Alvy Stapleton who have wedding days on Friday for Micheal and Tuesday for Alvy. We wish them both and brides Grace and Emer many years of happiness and success.
Well Done: We say well done to Tom McGrath and his officials on a fine job in his first Mid senior hurling final in Templemore on Sunday last.
Juvenile Collection: The club will hold its Church Gate Collection on this Saturday and Sunday 25th and 26th September. Please be as generous as possible.
Painting: Lots of help is required on this Thursday night in club rooms at 7.00pm for painting so bring along the brushes.
