Junior Hurling:  Our only involvement at the weekend was our junior A hurlers v Drom in Templetuohy on Friday night last.  Despite putting up a creditable score line of 1-16 we conceded 5-09 and the saying that goals wins matches was very evident on this occasion.
Having to field without five players from our first outing, it proved vital at the finish along with missed opportunities.  We now must win our game v Thurles Gaels to remain in contention.

Well Done:  We congratulate Ciaran McGrath who played with the County senior footballers in the win over Laois last Sunday.

Training:  Despite the uncertainty of senior fixtures due to the County teams involvement we request all players to attend training on appointed times.

Sympathy:  Recently many of our gaels in the parish have suffered bereavements.  Our deepest sympathy to all R.I.P.

Fund Raising Launch:  Saturday night July 17th is the date set for our Fund Raising Launch night at 8.45pm in Loughmore Community Centre.  As well known to all our parishioners our new facilities at our club grounds in Cuiguilla will be soon completed and quite a lot of money needs to be raised.  Our bucket collection this year is with Rehab Care(Autistic Children), where we hope both parties will benefit fro the huge effort required by all.  The first collection day is 24th July.  Refreshments will be served at launch night.

Fixtures:  This Wednesday night junior A football v Boherlahan in Holycross at 8.00pm.
Friday July 16th Junior A hurling v Thurles Gaels in Templemore at 7.30pm.
Minor Hurling Wednesday 7th July v Drom in Castleiney at 7.30pm.

Speedy Recovery:  We wish a speedy recovery to all our injured players including Lorcan Egan who has a broken collar bone.

Senior Hurling:  On Sunday last at gusty The Ragg venue our senior hurlers produced a never say die performance to defeat Upperchurch 1-14 to 0-13.
Having anything but a happy first half while wind assisted we trailed 0-06 to 0-08 at the interval.  However against the stiff breeze we seemed to settle into the game much better and some top class defending played a major factor in the victory.  While our winning margin was not enough to gain a Mid semi final spot it is sufficient to reach the quarter finals.  While some of our players have come away with injuries from the game we extend a speedy recovery to the Upperchurch player who received a serious leg injury in the early stages of the game.

Junior Hurling:  On Sunday evening it was onto Templetuohy for junior A hurling first round game v Gortnahoe. Played in some torrential showers the team produced a fine performance against a fancied Gorthnhoe side.  Having played against a strong wind in the first period we trailed 2-03 to 1-07 at half time.  A big step up in the second half produced some great scores to come away with a 3-12 to 2-08 victory.

Ground Development:  With our club building project very much taking shape the financial demands become much greater.  We presently are promoting a 500 euro life membership.  This is a very attractive fund raiser for many people in the parish to avail of life membership of the club.  Contact the treasurer or any club officer.

Fixtures:  On this Saturday evening at 7.00pm in Templetuohy we face Drom in the Mid Tipperary quarter final.  This is a vital game for the team as defeat will send us into quite a difficult qualifier section.  All panel to attend on appointed time.

Juvenile Club:  On behalf of the club we wish Edel Nyland, Niamh Treacy, Eilish Hassett and Mairead Eviston with Conor Eviston as manager the best of luck with their team in Feile All Ireland in Clare this weekend.
See Tipperary Star diary for juvenile fixtures.

Senior Football:  On Tuesday evening last in Holycross we faced Clonmel Commercials in the open draw replay.
Going into this game without three of our top players seemed a mighty task and so it proved to be.  We trailed at the interval 0-05 to 0-03.  But a very good second half performance, with goals from Liam and Noel McGrath proved decisive for a 2-07 to 0-08 victory to qualify for the next round v Aherlow on June 27th.

Senior Hurling:  With little time to recover from football exploits it was onto Templetuohy on the Bank Holiday Monday evening last for the second round Mid championship game v J K Brackens.
As always this was a hard fought encounter from start to finish with little between the sides.  In a mixed first half performance we led 0-07 to 0-04 at the interval.  Mid way in the second half we fell a point behind, however we reasserted ourselves to finish stronger on a 1-14 to 1-10 victory.

On Sunday next at 2.00pm in The Ragg we face Upperchurch/Drombane in the final group game.  This is a most important game as the possibility of a semi final spot looms for the winners.  All panel to attend on time.

Junior Hurling:  On Sunday evening next at 7.00pm in Templetuohy we face Gortnahoe in the first found of the championship.  Despite the loss of some players to senior status we urge all available players to attend this fixture.

Training:  Training for senior and junior teams this Friday night at appointed time.

Juvenile Club:  See Tipperary Star diary for fixtures.
