County Senior Hurling League: In very mild and sunny conditions at Cappawhite sports field on Sunday afternoon our senior hurlers had a narrow victory 2-16 to 2-15 over the home side in the first round of the County league division 1 game. Despite being short come of our established players, we had some fine individual displays and while 2-16 was a creditable tally the conceding of 2-15 will have to be addressed. While it is early days yet we must remember that the championship commences in two weeks time and a big step up will be required if we are to make headway in a very competitive group of Holycross, Upperchurch and J K Brackens. Our first game is v Holycross with the top team in group making it to the semi finals. All players are asked to attend appointed training sessions and be on time to finish on time. Fixtures: This Wednesday 31st at 6.45pm in Castleiney minor football v Holycross. Friday 2nd April junior hurling league v Thurles Sarsfields in outside field at 4.00pm. Sunday 4th April senior hurling league v Kilruane in Cloughjordan at 2.30pm. Wednesday 7th April at 7.30pm in Clonoulty U/21A football County semi final v Arravale Rovers. Meeting: Club meeting following training on this Wednesday night at 9.00pm. Juvenile Club: Peil Competition: On Saturday last our U/14 footballers competed in peil competition and had a semi final wing over Boherlahan. In the final they face a very solid Durlas Og side and a brave effort indeed with a 0-10 to 1-05 defeat by the Thurles boys. U/16 Football: The championship kicked off on Sunday afternoon in Castleiney when we overcame J K Brackens 2-11 to 2-06 in a close fought encounter.

U/21 AFootball:
On Sunday last in The Ragg our U/21 footballers retained their Mid title in dramatic fashion with a 3-15 to 5-02 victory over J K Brackens following extra time(see report).
This was a game in which our normal time performance differed from time to time and we almost paid the ultimate price.  However extra time proved different as a big step up in our performance yielded some great scores to see the captain Cian Hennessy collect the cup from Mid chairman Matty Ryan amid jubilation from the players and supporters.  They now face Arravale Rovers in the County semi final.  Congratulations to all concerned.

Senior Hurling:  Our senior hurlers continue their preparations for the championship and Count league with training and games.  On this Sunday in County League Division 1 we travel to Cappawhite to face the home side at 3.00pm.  Note change of time from 2.30pm.  All panel of players to attend on time.

Minor Football:  On this Wednesday night at 5.45pm v Sarsfields in outside field in Thurles.

U/21A Football: On Wednesday night last in Dr. Morris Park our U21A footballers had a comfortable victory over Moycarkey in the Mid semi final on a 4-12 to 1-05 score line.

At the end of a hard fought first period we led 1-06 to 0-03 in cold but dry conditions. A step up in the second half performance yielded some fine scores and adding a further 3-06 to book a date with J K Brackens in the final.

U/21A Football Mid Final: On Sunday next at 3.00pm in The Ragg we face J K Brackens in the Mid final. This is a big game for the team and despite the inclement weather over recent months a good effort has been put in by all. Lets hope it will come to fruition on Sunday afternoon. Your support would be welcome.

Senior Hurling: In preparation for the commencement of the Mid championship on the weekend of 11th April our senior hurlers had a good challenge game with Templederry on Sunday morning last. Our thanks to the Templederry club for this game.

Development: Work on our new development in Cuiguilla is make good headway with favourable weather at day time it is highly possible that our July finishing date will be achieved.

Players on College and County Teams: We say well done to Ciaran McGrath and Derek Bourke with the County footballers in their victory over Meath and to Noel McGrath and Michael Webster with the County hurlers in their victory over Galway on Sunday last.

Shane Nolan captained Mary Immaculate College, Limerick to the freshers All Ireland final on Tuesday last and we say hard luck to John Meagher and Pairic Egan who lost out in the Harty Cup final replay and All Ireland quarter final.

Club Meeting: A most important meeting of the club and development will take place at 9.00pm following training on this Friday night 19th March in club grounds. All to attend.

Juvenile Club: Our U/16 footballers are in actions on this Sunday morning. Check diary.
